Bottom-up technique based upon water condensation for the formation of porous membranes.
Membranes of homo and copolymers with uniform pore size distribution, high regularity and hexagonal array.
Pore size controlled by process variables such as humidity, polymer, concentration, substrate, among others.
Membranes of up to 20 cm2 with pores ranging from 50 nm to 20 μm have been prepared with the condensation technique.
The membranes are cross-linked/ functionalized to improve stability and meet requirements for specific applications.
